People have been naming the antiChrist ever since the book of Revelation was written. Pre-millenialists believe that a wicked man will come forth and mislead the public and eventually will rule the world and only be defeated by the sword (the word) of God. I agree with them. I just believe that the antichrist will come not from where many of the pre-millenialists believe. Most people who favor that end times theology are conservative fundamentalist Christians who like to be called evangelicals.
Is Donald J Trump the anti-Christ? I don’t know for sure. Only God the father knows for sure. But I believe it is an 85% probability that he is. This series of blogs will say why I believe he could be the Biblical antichrist.

Anti as the opposite. Jesus is humble. Jesus is loving. Jesus is kind. Jesus is just and Jesus is the Truth. Trump is haughty, Trump hates latinos, muslims, the press and anyone who opposes him. Anti as opposing. Jesus says we should take care of the poor. Trump is gutting the food stamp program in order to help pay for his tax cut for the very wealthy. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and not to slander. Trump does nothing but slander his enemies. Jesus says for us not to hoard wealth. Trump has made a living of hoarding extravegent amounts of money and with his economic policies allow others to do so. I haven’t found a single teaching of Jesus Christ that Trump hasn’t opposed.
Anti as substitute. In the Dark ages there was aa schism within the Roman Catholic Church. One faction supported the Pope in Rome while another supported a Pope in Paris. History records the Parisian Pope the anti-Pope.But I am sure that those who supported the Anti-Pope in Paris called the Roman Pope the anti-pope. Now THE Anti-Christ. The man who will come and lead millions to ruin and persecute the true church will eventually be treated like he is divine.
That I think has already begun to happen. You have Christians who say that a man who bragged about trying to commute adultery with a married woman when he himself was married is the anointed one, chosen by God. In Greek, the word Anointed one of God is Christos. They compare him to King David. Yes King David committed adultery and sent the wife of Bathsheba to his death. But King David did something that Trump never did. King David repented. If you read the Psalms King David was very humble. He knew his strengths and weaknesses. Trump has never apologized once.
Another person Trump is compared to is King Cyrus. He was the gentile King of Persia who allowed the Israelites in exile to return home to Judea and to rebuild the temple, the Holy place. This analogy really frustrated me for several reasons. Either they are saying that Trump is a righteous gentile who will save the Israel nation or that He is a Christian who will save America and “Her church”. Now before Jesus walked the earth God did anoint and appoint people to do his will. King David was the anointed King of Israel who God anointed through Prophet Samuel. And yes God anointed King Cyrus of Persia to usher the Israelites back to their homeland and their new temple after 70 years in exile.
I am not saying that God doesn’t anoint us. I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe that some are anointed to be evangalists, some to be teachers, and some to be prophets. In a way every Christian who follows Jesus Christ is anointed.
But we don’t need a new savior, another word for anointed one. We have one Savior and that is our Lord and teacher Jesus Christ. We don’t need a King David of America to make our nation and our faith great again. We don’t need an American King Cyrus to save Christianity from the maws of secularism and atheism. What we need is a Savior to save us from the religious right who have turned their back on Jesus’ teachings and a worshipping a false Christ. And that is Jesus.
