Fighting the Trump Apostasy One Blog At A Time

What Is Sin?

Words like evil and sin sometimes seem antiquated in today’s world. That is why I think the doctrine of sin, the importance of the concept of sin is so important particularly when it comes to Christians.

Christians like most humans like to jump to extremes. One side is judgmental, pointing out sins, and accusing people. The other side believes like this secular world that there is no such thing as sin. That we should just be good to our fellow neighbor but sin is a word that should never be mentioned.

What are sins. To some it is a list of wrongs of affronts to God. Things you don’t want to do because you are afraid of being punished by God.

To me sins are quite plainly anything you do that puts yourself above your fellow neighbor and God. All sins spring forth from selfishness. And humanity since it’s beginning has been a very selfish race. Always putting themselves number one.

Look at the first sin In the Bible. Eve and Adam disobeying God and eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The serpent that Adam and Eve could be like God. It wasn’t that Adam and Eve thought for themselves that was the original sin. No it was that they thought for THEMSELVES. They put their own wants and needs above God. We have been living and dying by our sins ever since.

I also find it interesting that the third sin after eating the apple and Eve lying about it was Adam not taking responsibility but blaming Eve for his own lack of impulse control. Men have been blaming women for their actions ever since.

Sin is part of our DNA. we may try to do good but we always are lead astray by our petty prides and hatreds. Even when fighting sin we often decide to fight sin with sin and fire with fire. The systematic exploitation of the working poor is sin but out of the fight against that oppression came Marxism that lead to death and destruction. That is one of the reasons why I am a Christian. I am sick of this sinful world and I know the only way to fight sin is through the Holy Spirit, and that is a gift that Jesus gives believers. When you have love, kindness, peace, joy, faithfulness, gentleness, patience, and self control you are able to combat your sins. You will not win every battle but you are strengthened for this fight.

That is what my next series of blogs is going to be about. Now the 7 deadly sins can not be found in the Bible. But it is a great way to some up sin.

I will write about how the 7 plague me, have Donald J Trump is a human representative of them all, and how the religious right actually endorses or condones sins more than any non believer could ever dream of.

And I am not perfect as you will see in these next seven blogs but it is better to be a sinner saved by Grace who falls a lot but always humbly takes His Lord’s hands to help him up than someone who willfully sins, doesn’t seek repentance, and casts judgement on others.

#4 Weirdest Christmas song: Santa Claus is kinda scary in a Roy Moore sort of way: Santa Claus Scares Me

I know the title is a cheap shot. Roy Moore has not been convicted of a crime. But there is enough evidence that he chased after 14,15,16,17 year old girls when he was in his early 30’s. Calling one of them when she was in Trig class, hitting on Wendy Miller when she was 14 and playing an elf at Gasden Mall. The accusations of Leigh Corfman and Beverly Young Nelson of groping and other forms of sexual misconduct are quite credible, even Mitch McConnell said so.

But back to the song. This song is written and sung by YouTube performer Tessa Netting. She acts as a cute kid with pony tails who is kind of creeped out by Santa Claus.

“Santa Claus Scares me. No I’m not lying. Why does he come into my house when I am asleep. That’s kind of creepy”

If you think about it, the thought of a man invading your house while you and your family are sleeping is kind of disturbing. It reminds me of what Colin Quinn said in anSNL sketch in which he played an ex-con Santa, talking to an irate parent “But, when you think about it, what does Santa do every year but commit a form of home invasion? A very loving and generous home invasion, yes.. but still home invasion.”

“Why does he watch me? Santa’s a stalker”

He knows when you are sleeping. He knows when your awake? I am surprised that most kids are not frightened out by this concept. I guess the idea of gifts might make it less creepy to Children. But if it was anyone else but Santa who watched little boys and girls when they were sleeping, you would call the police.

The letter Netting’s character writes to Santa is hilarious. And singing this while swinging her candy cane like a sword.

“He sees me when I’m sleeping. He knows when I’m awake. I better watch out. I’m going to cry. Don’t come in for goodness sake.”

With all the allegations of sexual misconduct of Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, the Olympic gymnastics doctor and yes Roy Moore. This song in a way makes Santa Claus creepier.

The song is pitch perfect. Tessa Netting is great as the little girl. Her facial expressions are hilarious. I would recommend listening to this song this Christmas.

But back to Roy Moore. He scares me even worse than Santa. He is a Bible thumping fundamentalist who wants Christian Sharia Law. Yet he himself possibly molested young teenagers. He may be innocent of the molestation charges. But he did go after them before he was married. He like many single fundamentalist view virtue as a prize. They want an innocent wife that they can mold and then control.

But yet Republicans will still support this man. Even if the allegations are true, they will support him because he is anti-abortion, anti-gay, and for a tax bill that would make the Old Testament prophets scream.

But he is just one man from an ultra conservative State. But I do worry. What if the Moores, the Pences, the rest of the dominionists who want to make America into this twisted Christian “utopia”, What If they get their way?

Now that should scare us.

Does God listen to the religious right’s prayers after gun massacres?

Another mass shooting another round of right wing pastors and politicians talking about “thoughts and Prayers” and “it is too soon to do anything.” And this massacre is all the more painful because it occurred in a house of worship.

I am not going to talk much about the gunman here, his motives, the fact that he was a domestic abuser kicked out of the military and shouldn’t have had access to a gun that most people shouldn’t have access to. An A-15 semi-automatic. A gun made to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time and a weapon that is putting millions and millions in the pockets of the gun manufacturing lobby.

But again, to the prayers. We should pray for the victims. We should pray for those who lost loved ones. We should even pray for the family of the shooter. I am a Christian and I believe in prayer and I have no doubt that the victims are in a better place, a place that I wish I was in right now.

But back to the Ted Cruzes, the Hans Fienes, and all the politicians and pastors who speak of thoughts and prayers and talk about how we are a Christian nation and condemn the wickedness of this world. Back to their prayers. I know this will be controversial but I don’t believe that God listens to their prayers and I have scripture as proof.

Isaiah 1:15

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood.

Just like ancient Israel. We are a wicked nation. We are a nation where our leaders are bribed by the National Rifle organization. An organization that used to be responsible until the extremists and the gun manufacturing lobby took over in 1977.

HOW MANY MORE. HOW MANY MORE MASSACRES. How many more children have to be sacrificed on the alter of the NRA.

Many children were killed, total families destroyed. Could a semi-automatic ban have prevented this, maybe. Maybe not. But that doesn’t mean we should do nothing .

Even if a ban would just save 50 people it would be worth it. 50 mothers, fathers, children, wives, husbands, etc that would not have to go through the agony of never being able to see their loved ones again.

We are Christians. We are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves Matthew 22:36-40

How can we do this while we put a weapon above both God and the lives of our neighbor? And why do we do this? Out of some nebulous thing called freedom? We are a nation that is a slave to the NRA. We have no freedom but with Jesus. And He said “those who raise the sword shall die by the sword.”

The orphans and the widows of gun violence are crying out for a solution or at least for our leaders to do something instead of quoting the party line. Yet all we hear is “our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families”

Empty words without action. Your prayers are worse than saying nothing. Because you bring God info your hypocrisy. Your pockets are full of NRA bribes and your hands are full of blood, just like Isaiah said.

No other Christians in the world have a love affair with guns. Only in America this idolatry reigns. It sickens me. You may ask who is Hans Fiene? He is a pastor and writer for the Federalist who wrote an article about God and the shooting and how prayers are answered.

My next blog will be taking his article apart.

It is not easy to be a Christian. We have atheists who attack us as heartless hypocrites and we have heartless hypocrites who prove them right. Thankfully we have true Christians who speak up against those who take bribes and search after gifts.

If I was alone I would beg Jesus to take me now, but no, there is work to do. We must speak up for those who can not because they were killed.

The Ex Agnostic and the Actor: a film starring Kevin Sorbo

I have an idea for a movie. It is about a lapsed Catholic who left the church because of the sex scandal. A man who suffered from severe anxiety and depression. A man who considered himself a loser who hated himself and the world.

A man who would not come to Christ because he saw a hypocritical church. A church that cared more about money and politics than anything else. But during the 2008 election, he saw Sarah Palin. He thought how can there be a good God who would allow so many people to support tax cuts for the wealthy, and mock the working poor, and support unjust unpayed Wars etc.

He writes 10 of the top evangelical Leaders asking them how they can support politics that go against scripture. But then a minister from the Saddleback Church contacts him and this man realizes that he was not angry at God but at man. And he prays and God leads Him to a Christ centered church. He sees a Pastor talking about how you could be evangelical or social justice based but you are serving God. That only through Christ we can have healing both individual and societal.

The film’s hero became born again. He felt the Holy Spirit overcome him and he became a follow of the one living Christ. But he realized that he almost gave up an opportunity to know God because of the wickedness of hypocritical men. And how these wicked men block people from the Kingdom of Heaven and make these converts twice the children of Hell as they are.

So he tries to bring atheists to the faith and to bring these lost apostates back to Jesus. He watched a great movie called What If? One of the best movies he has ever seen. A movie staring Kevin Sorbo of Hercules fame. An actor that this man enjoyed since he first saw him as a suspected stalker on an episode oThe Commish and as a nerdy computer programmer on an episode of Murder She Wrote.

It is A great movie about a Trump like businessman who is greedy but due to a miracle wakes up married to his high school sweetheart with kids and a pastor of a small church. By the end of the film this lost soul is a born again believer.

Our hero’s faith is as strong as ever. So he decides to seek out the actor on social media and finds out that the actor is just like all the politicians and religious leaders that kept him blocked from God. At the same time, he is hanging out with some of his friends who happen to still be atheists who hate Christianity for the very same reasons that this man did and they make fun of stupid movies. They watch a terrible movie about FDR attacking Japanese and German werwolves. A movie that has FDR saying “Does my cock still work?” And has his secretary licking condiments off of FDR’s polio paralyzed legs. And while this man is watching this horrid piece of drek, he sees the actor, the star of What If? Playing a stoned Abraham Lincoln in a dream sequence where FDR is stoned.

This insenses our main character so he makes a YouTube video directed to Kevin Sorbo. This is in fall of 2014.

In 2015 a wicked man runs for president, a man who starts his presidency with a slanderous attack against Mexicans. The election gets worse and worse. His fellow Christians couldn’t vote for this man could he? We have Kasich, a decent man running against a wicked woman. They would support him right? Kevin Sorbo wouldn’t support Trump? A man who attacked a POW, a man whose all campaign was based on fear and hatred.

But somehow neither the son of a president nor John Kasich, the candidate this hero of the film voted for got the nomination but a wicked man who stands for everything that Jesus stood against. So our hero makes another video entitled “Kevin Sorbo: Be a Hero Of Faith” in September of 2016

And in October of 2016 a tape comes out with the wicked man bragging about him chasing after a married woman and talking about “grabbing them by the pussy”.

Even with a wicked woman running, they wouldn’t vote for him would they? This Actor. This man with a film that says “God’s Not Dead” would not support a man such as Trump could he? Trump is pre saved Ben Walker on steroids, at least Ben Walker never grabbed women’s genitalia in the movie.

But Trump did win. And this actor continued to support this president. He continued to promote atheistic economic policies. He continued to practice this twisted nationalistic Christianity and every post broke our hero’s heart. The election and the aftermath almost was enough to make this man lose his faith. But even a thread of faith in Jesus Christ is stronger that Damascus Steel. So he continues to make videos and blogs opposing the religious right. A crusade to bring Franklin Graham and Kevin Sorbo back to the light.

He posts one more video in March of this year.

So this man continue to try to communicate with this actor via Facebook and Twitter trying to get him to fight for Christ instead of for the opposite of Christ. All the while being attacked by his followers.

How will this movie end? Will the actor realize the error and admit and speak out against the lies and to be an inspiration to agnostics and atheists like the film’s protagonist was? Will Kevin Sorbo use his prophetic voice for good? Will he help bring both the atheists and the apostates back to Christ or will he be just like any other false prophet?

I am praying for the former because I am a Christian and I believe in miracles and happy endings.

So “God’s Not Dead”, “What If?”, and “Let There Be Light” how bout “The Ex Agnostic and the Actor for your latest production? It would be an honor to work with you to show the world that GOD IS NOT DEAD. It will be an honor to show the world WHAT IF? We fight for justice and become the City on the Hill again what will God do with us? And then in this nation full of darkness. A nation where a president symbolizes hate, fear, and lies. We can start a revival to rival the 2nd great awakening and then LET THERE BE LIGHT

Let’s do it Kevin Sorbo. Let’s make a feel good movie.

Franklin Graham:Charles Finney or Ebenezer Warren?

Slavery was the moral issue of the 19th century. And the abolition movement was made up of northern Christians and ex patriot southern Christians. This is what the secular media doesn’t talk about much. But William Lloyd Garrison of the Liberator, Charles Finney, William Wilberforce of England all were evangelical Christians.

This is why I find it sickening that Graham defended a statue dedicated to Robert E. Lee put up during the 2nd period where the klan was ascendent. My forefathers spoke out against slavery. I wonder what Graham’s did?

There were many ministers who bowed down for the evil that was slavery. They used the curse of Ham to say that ” why make equal what God has made unequal” disregarding  Galatians 18 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

One notorious Whore for slavery and White Supremecy was a Southern Baptist minister from Macon Georgia named Ebenezer Warren. These are his own words. From his own pulpit.

…Slavery forms a vital element of the Divine Revelation to man. Its institution, regulation, and perpetuity, constitute a part of many of the books of the Bible …. The public mind needs enlightening from the sacred teachings of inspiration on this subject …. We of the South have been passive, hoping the storm would subside …. Our passiveness has been our sin. We have not come to the vindication of God and of truth, as duty demanded …. it is necessary for ministers of the gospel … to teach slavery from the pulpit, as it was taught by the holy men of old, who spake as moved by the holy Spirit …. Both Christianity and Slavery are from heaven; both are blessings to humanity; both are to be perpetuated to the end of time …. Because Slavery is right; and because the condition of the slaves affords them all those privileges which would prove substantial blessings to them; and, too, because their Maker has decreed their bondage, and has given them, as a race, capacities and aspirations suited alone to this condition of life ….

No Christian now except for those on the far alt-right neo-confederate side would agree with these words. But thousands did at the time. He could have been Brave and stood up and spoke out against it. And now many Southern Baptists  are saying that war was not about slavery even though their own church, their own sinful church said this in a May 1863 Southern Baptist Convention on slavery.

… the war which has been forced upon us by our assailants, is grounded in opposition to an institution which is sustained by the sanctions of religion. They [Northerners] assume that slavery is a sin and therefore ought to be abolished. We contend that it is a Scriptural institution. The very nature of the contest takes the point in dispute out of the category of politics, and delegates it to the sphere of Christianity. We are really contending for the precepts of religion, against the devices of the wisdom of this world, and it is, therefore, not only the policy, but the duty of religious bodies to define their position in this great contest. The [SBC] convention has done well in giving unambiguous utterance to its sentiments on this subject.

Thankfully the Southern Baptist Convention repented of this sin but looking at the confederate flags at Charlottesville and the defending of the statues. I don’t think they got the memo.

Compare this to the true Bride of Christ during this time, Charles Finney, the man who started the 2nd great awakening and Franklin Graham if he would gird up his loins and follows suit might trigger the 3rd.

The startling fact is but too apparent that our Union is virtually a slaveholding state, and that Congress have seriously undertaken to make the entire domain of our country a slaveholding land. They enact their Fugitive Slave Bill into so-called law, and then send their commissioned agents into the free states, upon free soil, to compel free men, whose souls abhor slavery, to become slave-catchers, and to deliver up unto their masters or claimants, the servant that has escaped–in the very face of God’s own command to the contrary, not to say also in the very face of every dictate of humanity. When the Northern states set their own slaves free, they had no thought of ever being dragged thus into the support of slavery. They expected, and were authorized to expect that the example of emancipation would be followed by the Southern states. But instead of this, what do we see? Laws enacted by Congress which people all the free states with commissioners authorized to seize men as slaves–which deny them a jury trial and the right of habeas corpus–which leave them only the miserable mockery of the forms of trial, and which then, under heavy pains and penalties, compel us to sustain all this iniquity, and aid in dragging the arrested victim into hopeless bondage.

So in this series devoted to Franklin Graham. Where I ask is he part of the Bride of Christ or is he simply like Ebenezer Warren either a coward who is playing and afraid of his base, or a man who actually agrees in supporting a man who is the symbol of pride. Does he actually agree with this administrations racist immigration policy that will doom thousands of innocent refugees both Christian and Muslim to war torn lives?

I don’t know. But I do know this is the moment of Decision. Will He make the right one and lead a revival to rival the 2nd great awakening  or just end up in the dustbin of history filled with all the other false prophets who went before him.?

Franklin Graham: This is the month of Decision. And readers help him make the right one.

I do not hate Reverend Franklin Graham. I do not hold him in disdain. I love him. I don’t doubt that he considers himself a Christian. I pray that he is. But he is lost. He has fallen into apostasy, a loveless Christianity that is hollow and that had no basis in our Lord’s teachings. He has succumbed to fear, hated anger, self righteuousness and has accepted the wickedness of the Trump administration.

Nor do I hate Trump. I consider our president my political and spiritual enemy. I believe that he represents everything that our savior spoke out against. Read Matthew 5-7 and that he is symbolic of the apostasy of American Christianity, read 2 Timothy 3. But I am commanded to love my enemies, no matter how hard. And with Donald Trump it has been very hard. God willing if Franklin Graham can be brought back to Jesus, maybe Trump can as well.

I have called the Billy Graham Evangelical association many times, I have made blogs, I have made YouTube videos based on his father’s book Peace With God. I wrote letters to about thirty newspapers. This past month I donated $69.26 to the Billy Graham Evangelical Foundation on condition that Graham speaks out against the behavior and policies of our president. He didn’t. He doubled down in a tweet about how he supports Jared Kushner and Trump. Knowing very well that if it was the Clintons accused, he would attack. So I called and asked for a full refund. I haven’t received it yet.

But I am only one man. I can be considered a crank. I know some of my heroes of the Bible Jeremiah and Isaiah were only one man but Christianity works best in community and in mass. One person is a crank, hundreds is a movement.

So I am asking fellow evangelical, mainline, and progressive Christians to join me in this crusade of rescuing Franklin Graham and his followers from the jaws of fear and hate. This may be where Satan wants them. But this is not where God wants them.

Do what I did, write checks to the Billy Graham Evangelical association along with letters using scripture showing him and his workers why supporting Trump is the unbiblical thing to do. These are just three examples.

#1 you could write a check for $60 and one for $16.19 and in your letter discuss Proverbs 6

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

#2 you could write one check for $100 and another one for $21.23 and discuss Isaiah 1

21 See how the faithful city
has become a prostitute!
She once was full of justice;
righteousness used to dwell in her—
but now murderers!
22 Your silver has become dross,
your choice wine is diluted with water.
23 Your rulers are rebels,
partners with thieves;
they all love bribes
and chase after gifts.
They do not defend the cause of the fatherless;
the widow’s case does not come before them.

#3 you could write one check for $20, one for $30, and a third for $1.05. And discuss

2 Timothy 3

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

There are so many scriptures that condemn Trump that hundreds of  people could do this and you wouldn’t have the same amount.

But in your letter write that if Franklin Graham does not speak out against this administration than he should rip up the checks. And if his association does cash them and he continues to give religious aid and comfort to Trump demand a full refund.

We can do this. Let’s save Graham from himself.

Rev. Franklin Graham be the prophetic voice God intends you to be: Jeremiah 1:17-19

I am no one. I am just a Born again Christian who has had my faith tested like never before and  was called to do this. I have called his office and sent e-mails, and wrote blogs but God is inspiring me to write once  more.

Everything I write does not only apply to Rev. Graham, the most powerful evangelical leader in the nation. It applies to every tv pundit, pastor, teacher, every Christian of every stripe who finds this.

Dear Brother Graham,

I was inspired to write this after reading about a movie that your charity Samaritan’s Purse is putting out. “Facing Darkness” is a movie about brave Christian missionaries fighting Ebola in Africa. I don’t think it will come to theaters in Madison WI, the birthplace of the Freedom From Religion Foundation but I will try to see if I can catch it on demand. This lent I am planning on watching movies about brave men from the Bible as well as brave Christians who fought injustice and tyranny. The first one being Jeremiah with Patrick Dempsey. This is one of the best Biblical films I have seen that didn’t chronicle Jesus.

I am writing because of Jeremiah. He was a prophet. He was my favorite Old Testament Prophet. He spoke against crooked kings and false prophets. He faced danger, he was mocked, he was thrown down into a well. But he always spoke God’s truth.

You talk about secularism and the dangers of it. You are speaking out against Disney and Beauty and the Beast. But this is not the fight you should be fighting. It would be like Jeremiah speaking out against a blasphemous puppet show while ignoring the wickedness that was going around and was going to bring ruin to the Kingdom of Judah.

The secular media is having a field day with your feud with Disney. They won’t mention your movie. They are mocking you. But not because you are fighting for Christ but because you are attacking a movie that has one ambiguous scene in it while supporting a man who bragged about committing adultery and chasing after a married woman. You can say that he repented but  his words were

“We are losing our jobs, we are less safe than we were eight years ago and Washington is totally broken. Hillary Clinton and her kind have run our country into the ground. I’ve said some foolish things, but there’s a big difference between the words and actions of other people. Bill Clinton has actually abused women, and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims. We will discuss this more in the coming days. See you at the debate on Sunday.”

His words were foolish but he was talking about actions. Things that he did. He didn’t apologize for chasing after a married woman. He apologized for talking about it. And then hypocritically attacking the Clintons.

Now I think the Clintons are one of the most corrupt political families in American history But you made a deal with a devil to stop them. He has lied about crowd size. He has lied about voter fraud. He may be lying about the Russians. His immigration policy is breaking up families and is hurting people. And yes Mercy to foreigners is  a Bible issue.

It is time to be a man. It is time to gird up your loins and admit your mistake and speak out against our “King Ahab”. I know that I am mixing Biblical prophets. King Ahab was long dead before Jeremiah came along.

But I use that king because in a way, you are my white whale, Rev. Graham. You are a man with such gifts. You are a man who if you decided could use the gifts that both your Heavenly Father and earthly father gave you could help bring about a third great awakening.

I have e-mailed. I have called. I even was going to stand up while you spoke in my Capital but one of your chaplain’s convinced me not to and I regret that to this day.

You want to fight secularism. You want to fight the attack on Christianity. Don’t attack Disney. Don’t attack the “pagan” world. Attack their weapon. Attack the cancer that has infected the American Church. If you speak up against Trump using the Holy Word of God. The secular media will have to pay attention. This fight would help spread the Gospel more than any Festival of Hope.

And yes if you do this, Trump will hate you. He will attack you. He may even use his government powers to attack you. You will lose friends and family. Donations will dry up. But you will be a man of God. And remember what our Lord Jesus said  in Luke 6

Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.
23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

They will treat you like Jeremiah, they will treat you like Jesus. But He will be with you. As will I. I know that you love God. You just let politics lead you astray. Come back and be the prophetic voice that you know God put you on earth to be. The time has come to gird up your loins and become him.

Jeremiah 1

17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.

And to any brother or sister of Christ who has read this. Gird them up as well. Blow the atheists’ minds. Be a prophetic voice in your hometown.

God Bless you

your brother in Christ

What is 2 Timothy Trump?

This is a blog about Christianity. It is a blog written by a Christian who hates how his faith is being misused in this election.

I picked the name from 2 Timothy 3

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

It saddens and sickens me that the nominee for the Republican Party  fits this to a T. But more than that I am saddened that thousands of people claiming to follow the Lord of Lords. The Prince of Peace, our savior, our king are supporting this man who so obviously doesn’t love Christ and thinks he is a Christian because “the evangelicals love me”

I am an evangelical Christian. I do love him. He does not make it easy. But Jesus commands us to love our enemies. And yes I do consider Trump and the religious right my political and spiritual enemies but I want them to come to Christ and change and be productive members of His Kingdom.

Matthew 5

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[i] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute

The religious right do not love their enemies. They show them nothing but contempt, they slander and they attack. Just watch the convention.

I am not writing this to show I am better than Him. I am not. I am a sinner saved by Grace who still struggles with sin. I am writing this as a warning and as a plea to my brothers and sisters  in the religious right. I also want my writings to be comfort for my brothers and sisters who feel the same way I do.

You are not alone. This blog will show using scripture why no follower of Jesus Christ should support Trump for president.
